THORNBURY and Yate MP Luke Hall has warned constituents not to worry if they have not received a poll card for tomorrow’s EU Referendum.

Remain supporter Mr Hall said he had been contacted by residents in South Gloucestershire who had not had a card delivered and wanted to remind people they do not need the card to take part in the vote.

“I am aware that some residents have been in touch and who are concerned over not receiving their 'poll card' for the referendum this Thursday,” said Conservative Mr Hall.

“You do not have to of received, or take, your poll card with you to the polling stations, however, you can still check to see if you are eligible to vote by contacting South Gloucestershire Council Electoral Services on 01454 863030.

“They will also advise you of which polling station you should attend.”

South Gloucestershire Council said: “Poll cards are sent out approximately three weeks before an election to remind voters of the election and their polling station.

“You can vote without the poll card, as long as you are included on the register.

“If you are concerned because you have not received a poll card please ring Electoral Services who will check whether you are on the register and tell you where you should vote."

Speakers will include Filton and Bradley Stoke MP Jack Lopresti, who favours the Brexit campaign, as well as Dr Razvan Constantinescu from the University of the West of England from Remain.
