THORNBURY and Yate MP Luke Hall has celebrating his marriage to fiancée Roisin Cabry at a beautiful ceremony in a chapel of the Palace of Westminster.

The wedding, which took place on Saturday, August 6 at the chapel of St Mary Undercroft was attended by 90 people, including family and friends – with his two nieces serving as flower girls for the occasion.

Roisin, a property manager for an estate agent from Yate and active member of the Sodbury Players, had been with the MP since December, before getting engaged in February.

The traditional service was wonderfully led by the speaker’s chaplain, the Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin, and was followed by a wonderful reception held on the Parliamentary terrace overlooking the Thames.

After the celebrations, the couple enjoyed 10 nights on honeymoon in Greece, giving the couple an unusually rare break, during the summer recess of Parliament.

During the trip Luke was even recognised by a fellow Brit as the MP for Thornbury and Yate - something that he said came as quite a surprise.

After the ceremony, Luke said: “I am absolutely delighted, Roisin looked beautiful and we were pleased to have our family and friends around us.

“My older brother Richard was my best man, his speech was quite embarrassing, but I got through it.

“We are hugely grateful for all of the support from the community and I want to thank everybody who got in touch to send their best wishes.”
