THIEVES forced entry to a home in South Gloucestershire yesterday morning.
They stole a watch and money during the break-in at Wadham Grove in Emerson Green.
The thieves forced entry to the property via a window between the hours of 10am and 11am yesterday.
They took a Tag Heuer CV2010 men’s watch and cash in Hong Kong dollars and Chinese Yuan.
Any information which could help police enquiries into the burglary can call 101, quoting reference 5216261810, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
The police offer some recommendations to put a burglar off targeting a home.
This includes fitting motion sensing security lights around properties, keeping jewellery and other high-value items in a safe which has been securely anchored and locking up and setting an alarm –at night as well as when going out.
Timer light switches can also be used to make it look like someone is home, and a traceable asset marking liquid can be put on items like jewellery or antiques.
