Firefighters tackle large wood fire in Winterbourne
FIREFIGHTERS raced to Winterbourne yesterday after reports of a large wood fire.
Responding to the callout at 6.45pm, a crew from Kingswood attended the incident at Winterbourne Down to find a large quantity of wood well alight.
The blaze, which was extinguished by firefighters using a high pressure hose reel, is believed to have been deliberately started.
