Reports of loud explosion noise and bright flash in Yate
FIREFIGHTERS have attended the scene of a rubbish fire in Yate after a loud explosion sound and bright flash was reported by residents.
The noise, which originated from Kingsgate Park, was apparently caused by an ignition from within a rubbish fire.
Residents took to social media to try to find answers, with a number of residents in the Kingsgate area even reporting their houses shaking from the incident.
One crew from Kingswood Fire Station attended the incident and is currently still on site.
