A FUNDING application for outdoor exercise equipment that will benefit older people in Yate has been made by Yate Town Council.
Trim trail exercise stations are simple pieces of equipment placed around public parks.
The equipment is free to be used by the public and can be used to complete various exercises designed to develop balance, strength and coordination.
A spokeswoman for Yate Town Council said that the equipment is intended to boost activity in the over-55s in particular.
"The equipment is intended to increase exercise for older people who may not be meeting government exercise guidelines."
"It would also provide an opportunity for people to meet up and exercise together."
