THE majority of pupils received their first choice of secondary school for the coming academic year, according to South Gloucestershire Council.
Figures show that 87.6 per cent of pupils were allocated their first choice of school during National Offer Day, which took place today.
A further 7.41 per cent of pupils were given their second choice, while 2.4 per cent were offered their third choice of school.
The total number of applications this year was 6,459 and all children have been given a place.
Cllr Jon Hunt said: “The wait is over and parents across South Gloucestershire have today received notification of their child’s future school."
"Almost 88 per cent of children received their first choice of secondary school, and we are delighted that all of the on time applicants in our area have been offered a school place.”
