FIREFIGHTERS in South Gloucestershire raced to tackle a flat on fire yesterday lunchtime.
Crews were called to the fire on Gloucester Road North in Filton, just after 1pm, and on arrival could see smoke coming from the rear of the building.
Firefighters entered wearing breathing apparatus, and used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire in the lounge of the flat, also using a ventilation fan to clear the property of smoke.
There were no reports of any injuries from the fire, which is believed to have been caused accidentally.
