FIREFIGHTERS raced to put out a "deliberately started" caravan fire in Marshfield yesterday evening.
A crew from Yate Fire Station were dispatched at 6.40pm to Shire Hill in Marshfield, where they found the caravan well alight.
Despite being able to put out the fire using a hose reel, the crew were unable to save the caravan, which was completely destroyed.
A spokesman for Avon Fire and Rescue Service said that it is believed the fire was started deliberately.
