A 39-YEAR-OLD man has been jailed today in connection with a burglary at a community centre in Yate last Friday.
Richard Crook, of no fixed abode, was arrested in the early hours of Friday after officers were alerted to the crime by a CCTV operator.
He appeared before Bristol Magistrates on Saturday, May and admitted breaking into the Shire Way Community Centre and a further charge of burglary at a pub in Soundwell Road, Soundwell, on Saturday, April 15.
He was jailed for a total of 12 months and ordered to pay costs and a victim surcharge totalling £200.
A second man also appeared in court on Saturday charged with the same two burglaries and two others, both in London Road, Warmley, in April and May.
He was remanded in custody pending a further hearing.
