Weather May 17: Sunny with some showers
AFTER a chilly and mainly dry start, a mixture of sunny spells and scattered showers will dominate the day.
The showers will be locally heavy and thundery through the afternoon, but it will feel quite pleasant in the sunshine with temperatures peaking at 17C.
A few showers are likely to persist overnight, but it will mostly stay dry. Clear spells and light winds will allow temperatures to fall to as low as 3C, with some mist or fog patches forming.
