A HUSTINGS that was scheduled to take place at Winterbourne International Academy tonight has been cancelled following the Manchester terror attack.
It will instead take place tomorrow evening (Wednesday, May 24).
Gareth Keel, Chairmain of the event, said: "In the spirit of solidarity with the victims and in accordance with suspension of political campaigning today I have decided to cancel today’s Hustings event.
"There will however be an event the following day and all political parties have been informed that they are welcome to send their candidates or alternative representatives.
"The alternative event will still be in the Arts Centre thanks to the kind agreement of Lewis Groves. In all likelihood it is going to be a lower key Q and A event with some candidates only but I am determined to do something for the students in the limited time available."
Details to be confirmed later today.
