PRESIDENT Sue Grimstead welcomed members to our July and 51st birthday party.

She thanked everyone for their cards and kind thoughts which she had received after her operation.

Our treasurer sent her apologies, she had an appointment at Southmead.

The lunch club had a lovely meal at the Fox, the next meeting will be September 15, place to be decided.

Our art day in August was discussed, members were reminded to bring things that were on their list.

The book club are meeting on August 15 at the coffee shop in the school rooms.

Sue told us her sewing club were having an exhibition September 23, more details later, and tickets were on sale for our skittles evening at Hambrooke on October 7.

Next was our speaker, Geof Woodland, Ramblin Tyme, what a fantastic speaker.

He is a social worker but has had a incredible difficult life.

He told us of his good times and bad and sang some great songs.

Sue thanked him very much.

The raffle was won by Gill Tamlyn and the competition was won by Sandra Hulin.

There is no meeting in August so Sue wished everyone a good summer and looked forward to seeing everyone in September.
