FOUR giant hares have been delighting Chipping Sodbury residents and visitors this summer.
The five-foot tall hare statues are part of the 2017 Cotswold Hare Trail, a six-month long treasure hunt across the region.
Since the end of March, followers of the trail have been taking selfies with ‘Harey’ Potter, Mr Horatio Hare, Charlotte the Hare and the Tiger That Came To Town.
Sodbury Chamber of Commerce, which financed three of the large hares, have reported they are delighted with the popularity of the trail. Even though the chamber produced more maps than in previous years, a reprint was needed to keep up with demand.
The Chipping Sodbury Hare Trail is running alongside the Cotswold Hare Trail until Sunday, September 10. All completed trail maps returned to the collection boxes in either the Tourist Information Centre or Waitrose will be entered in to a draw to win one of 18 signed copies of Mr Hare's Big Secret by Hannah Dale.
Hare hunters, or ‘Harers’, are asked to record their sightings of each statue by uploading selfies tagged with @cirenhare on social media.
Selfies can also be posted on the Visit Chipping Sodbury Facebook page.
