RESIDENTS across South Gloucestershire are being encouraged to attend the annual general meeting for the clinical commissioning group next month.

The CCG is the NHS organisation responsible for planning and buying healthcare services for everyone living in South Gloucestershire, and the AGM is an opportunity to review activities in the past year and look ahead to future challenges.

There will also be a chance for people to take part in a question and answer session about healthcare issues facing South Gloucestershire with directors and clinical leaders. Attendees will also have the chance to talk with local health organisations and other guests and learn more about local healthcare services.

CCG clinical chairman and GP Dr Jonathan Hayes said: “We’re delighted to invite people to our AGM so they can find out more about the work we have been doing.

“We have a lot to be positive about from our successes and initiatives from the previous year, whilst recognising the challenges which NHS services face around the country.”

The meeting is being held at Cleve Rugby Club on September 27 from 1:30pm to 3.30pm.

Space is limited, and anybody wishing to attend the event is asked to book a place in advance by emailing lucyjones4@nhs.net or calling 0117 947 4426.
