THREE cars in Yate were deliberately set alight on Friday night, say Avon Fire and Rescue Service.
The vehicles were all parked in close proximity to one another. The first fire was in a parked vehicle on Moorland Road. Firefighters were called to the incident at 9.28pm.
The crew put out the blaze and then, at 9.44pm, they were called to attend a two car fire round the corner, in Sunnyside Lane.
The second fire also affected a nearby fence, which the fire crew put out with two hose reels.
The two fires are believed to have been started deliberately.
Fire crews were called to a fire in a transit van in Plover Close in Yate on Saturday at 6.38pm. This fire is understood to have started accidentally and is not believed to be connected to the other vehicle fires.
