On Thursday, November 16, Peter Weaver LRPS CPAGB APAGB judged our second competition of the season.

He began by saying he had been to our club many times both for judging and talking, he told us he was a keen walker but had learned not to take his camera equipment out when out on a purposeful walk because of the weight. I am sure most of us know that walking and photography are two separate hobbies!

In the open print competition 1st place went to Brian Wetton with 'Misty Harbour Hugh Town', 2nd place was given to David Bishop with 'George the Iguana' and in joint third place was Elizabeth Restall with 'Dawn Mist Behind the Belvedere' and Jenny Fryer with 'Stormy skies and shed'.

In the Landscape Trophy Competition Bill Beere with 'Irish mist on the beach' and Steve Daniell with 'Greens and Graze' shared 3rd place, 2nd place was awarded to Barbara Gibbons with 'Smoke on the Water' and for the second year running in this competition 1st place was awarded to George Ryske with his photograph 'Evening Sun over Severn Vale'.

Steve Daniel gave the vote of thanks.
