POLICE area appealing to the public to help to find a 56-year-old abscondee from a prison in Falfield.
Keith Whitehouse, who is currently serving a life sentence for mansalughter at HMP Leyhill, was last seen at 4.45pm yesterday, and failed to appear for the roll call held at 8.15pm.
He is described as a white man, 6ft 5ins tall of slim build with short grey hair, grey moustache and a goatee style beard.
He has an eagle tattoo on his left arm and a leopard on his right arm.
Whitehouse, who has links with the West Midlands and Brighton, committed the manslaighter in 1991 when he was given a home release from prison. At the time he was serving a sentence for kidnap.
Anyone who sees him is asked not to approach him, and instead should call 999 immediately, quoting reference 5218036793.
