A SEVERN Beach man has been found not guilty of assaulting two women in Yate, but convicted of a class A drug.
James Dean, 41, of Beach Road, appeared before Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Friday, April 6, charged with the two assaults on May 14 last year on North Road in Yate, as well as possession charges of cocaine and cannabis.
Having indicated a plea of guilty for being in possession of 0.2g of cocaine at a previous hearing in December, Dean was found not guilty of the other three charges.
He was fined £120 and also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £30 victim surcharge, totalling £235.
