SODBURY and Yate Business Association presented Brain Tumour Support with a cheque for £2433.74 at last month's meeting.
Brain Tumour Support (BTS) has been SYBA’s charity of the year and the organisation has carried out various events to raise funds for the organisation.
The representative who collected the cheque on behalf of BTS explained that the money raised would go towards looking after patients, their families and carers when they are first diagnosed.
They offer information, guidance, support groups and a personalised service to help care for people with brain tumours.
SYBA members have raised £1,933.74 through various activities including raffles, a quiz night and a collection box at their meetings. Lloyds Bank donated a further £500.00 making a total of £2433.74.
SYBA meet on the second Monday of the month and offer support and networking to local businesses.
