FOLK singers, Morris dancers, ukeleles, acrobatics and school choirs will all be helping to celebrate the patron saint of England this weekend.
Visitors are invited to come along and enjoy the annual St George’s Day celebrations at Yate Heritage Centre on Saturday.
The packed programme of entertainment includes wind band performances, Tudor entertainers, a Punch and Judy show and youth performers, plus lots of fun activities.
The day also includes demonstrations from medieval re-enactors, including St George, a medieval food demonstrator, archers and armourers.
There will be stalls and refreshments at the event, with food available at St Mary’s Church and the White Lion too.
Community heritage officer and organiser David Hardill said the event, now in its 14th year, is always one of the centre’s most popular.
