A LIST of Gromit locations for this summer's Gromit Unleashed 2 trail have been released, and it includes sculptures in Chipping Sodbury, Winterbourne and Thornbury.

The first Gromit Unleashed 2 sculptures have also been revealed before the start of the trail in July.

And the magnificent brightly coloured rainbow statue pictured here is set to be located in Winterbourne.

Designed by Jenny Urquhart, it will be located outside its sponsors office: estate agents A J Homes, in Flaxpits Lane.

Gromit Unleashed 2, which will be raising money for The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity, is set to take place between July 2 and September 2, and will feature more than 60 sculptures across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

It follows the success of the Grand Appeal’s two previous sculpture trails, the original Gromit Unleashed in 2013 and Shaun in the City in 2015.

Trail fans will be able to seek out 60 sculptures, each individually designed and decorated by high-profile artists and designers, spread across Bristol and the surrounding areas.

Thornbury represents the most northerly location, with Avon Valley Adventure and Wildlife Park and Chew Valley marking the east and south boundaries, and Weston-super-Mare in the west. St Mark’s Road in Easton, the Royal Fort Gardens at the University of Bristol, Hartcliffe Community Farm and Blaise Castle are four of many locations taking part in the trail for the first time, with Clifton Suspension Bridge, Temple Meads and The Mall at Cribbs Causeway returning for a third time.

A printed map, available at the Gromit Unleashed shop at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, selected locations across the city, will be available at the start of July.

A Gromit Unleashed 2 app will be available to help hunt down sculptures, as well as a special passport trail to celebrate the trail’s innovation themes.
