A RECRUITMENT open day for mental health nurses is to be held at Blackberry Hill Hospital.
The Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP) NHS Trust is organising the event, on May 30, to find staff to work in its secure services team.
The trust is looking to recruit Band 5 and Band 6 registered mental health nurses (RMN) and registered nurses in learning disabilities (RNLD) to work in its Fromeside Unit on the outskirts of Bristol.
The Fromeside Unit, based on the Blackberry Hill Hospital site at Fishponds, is an 80 bed medium secure service caring for people with a mental health illness and/or personality disorder who also have a criminal history or have risks and behaviours which mean they cannot be treated in mainstream mental health services.
On Wednesday, May 30, the secure services team will be hosting an open day from 10am where those attending will be able to hear from a number of speakers including a ward manager, an occupational therapist, a senior practitioner, as well as a service user.
There will also be a chance to ask questions and take part in group discussions and interviews.
