THE Yate community is coming together to help those affected by the fire in Brinsham Park last week.

Those involved have had their lives turned upside down.

Four houses were ruined, with one completely gutted.

One of the victims is now homeless and has lost everything.

Neighbours are now rallying round, doing what they can.

Tomorrow (Wednesday), a special fundraising event - a night glow session - is set to take place at Little Giggles Soft Play in Yate, from 4pm.

Tickets cost £5 a person with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the fund.

Two crowdfunding pages have also been set up, and the plan is to raise £2,000 to support the four families involved.

And Hayley and Tony Kearns, who live two doors away from where the fire started are also collecting donations of necessary items to help those affected. Tony can be contacted via Facebook.
