TWO people have been arrested at an address in Winterbourne on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Officers based at Filton police station made the arrests this morning as part of Operation Relentless.

They searched the house under a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant and seized a substantial amount of suspected cocaine and a large quantity of cash.

Police also seized a car from the address under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Neighbourhood PCSOs delivered information postcards about the operation to neighbouring properties.

A 21-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman remain in police custody.

Officers have also seized a small number of cannabis plants from an unoccupied house in Chipping Sodbury.

Police have carried out a total of seven warrants in South Gloucestershire and arrested four suspects for offences including burglary, shoplifting, criminal damage and outraging public decency.

Later today the Avon and Somerset Volunteer Police Cadets will be joining neighbourhood teams delivering crime prevention information across the district.

They will be delivering leaflets giving communities advice on how to prevent burglary and vehicle crime.
