URGENT meetings have been organised by the district council to discuss proposals for gipsy sites that have caused controversy across North Wiltshire.
The Malmesbury area committee will meet on June 5 at the town hall, while the Cricklade and Wootton Bassett committee goes into session on June 9 at the Memorial Hall in Wootton Bassett.
Calne and Corsham committees are also convening.
A furore erupted earlier this month when it emerged that NWDC was looking at six potential locations for a new site, including Stoneover Lane at Wootton Bassett along with Stanley Lane and Hardens Mead, Chippenham.
The consultation ends on June 20.
