IT'S snow joke as winter has wreaked havoc with the weekend's sport in the Five Valleys.

However, Forest Green are confident their crucial Blue Square Premier clash at Stockport County will go ahead.

An 8.30am inspection in Greater Manchester on Saturday will reveal whether Rovers and Stockport can do battle once again, with the frost covers having not been utilised at Saturday's venue because there has been no opportunity for the ground to thaw following the Hatters latest game against Mansfield on Tuesday.

If the game does go ahead, it will offer Forest Green the chance to extend their unbeaten run in 2013 to four games and the chance to do the double over a team they have already beaten 4-1 this season.
