THE big chill has put paid to Forest Green’s Blue Square Premier clash at home to Hereford United tomorrow.

The sub-zero temperatures ruled out any chance of the match-taking place after six inches of snow engulfed the New Lawn playing surface.

Club spokesman Stuart Brennan said: "Snow and ice around the stadium and concerns over the safety of travel for home and visiting fans has ruled the game to be postponed."

The postponement means Forest Green will not play a single home fixture during the month of January - having not hosted match at The New Lawn since Boxing Day.

Rovers trained at the Cirencester Indoor Arena today and now turn their focus to Saturday's Blue Square Premier trip to Lincoln City.
