BERKELEY-BASED rider Tom Searle triumphed at the British Eventing Horse Trials at West Wilts Equestrian Centre in Holt.
Searle took first place in the BE100 Section F on Logans Boy. He had a dressage score of 26.5 and a clear round in the showjumping gave Searle an overall points total of 26.50.
The course was run the opposite way round from the first British Eventing competition at the popular venue earlier in the year with new fences being added on the cross country course, plus an extra fence on the exit to the water splash which tested the riders.
It was a challenging but fair course for the riders. Weather conditions were favourable with a slight breeze and sunny spells, which suited riders and spectators alike.
