CAM’S first and second teams beat the drop on a dramatic last day of the season.
In Division One, Cam beat Cheltenham Civil Service at home by four wickets to keep themselves above the relegation zone.
A defeat would have seen them go down with bottom but one club Shurdington also winning at Redmarley. Ben Holloway (3-10) and Pete Hall (3-19) did the damage as Civil Service were 114 all out and Cam reached 116-6 in 34.3 overs.
Cam seconds climbed out of the bottom two in Division Four with a three-wicket win at Sheepscombe, who also stayed up.
The home side scored 244-6 but Cam reached their target as a result of the great work that came from Ed Paddock for his fine half-century (80).
Wickwar finished in the relegation zone after losing by 27 runs at Ullenwood Bharat.
The home side were indebted to Jonathan Peck (51) in their total of 161 all out, with Will Fishley and Daniel Pecker claiming three wickets apiece, before Mike Gray took 5-37 as Wickwar were 134 all out, skipper Tim Hughes top-scoring with 42.
Already-promoted Hawkesbury Upton (94-1) beat St Philips North (90 all out) by nine wickets after Sam Beeley claimed 6-27, but it was not enough to secure the title as league leaders Aston Ingham beat Witcombe.
Stone lost their winner-takes-all Division Two promotion clash at Poulton by six wickets.
Despite Pete Lavis hitting 74, Stone were all out for 159 after fine bowling performances from Neil Ferreira (3-23) and Mark Higginson (3-24).
Ferreira (65*) then hit a half-century to see Poulton home.
In Division Five, Gloucester City Winget 3rd XI (210-8) beat Charfield (96 all out) by 114 runs.
