CASTLE COMBE race circuit was once again taken over on Saturday by approximately 20,000 rally fans as they flocked to the UK’s premier rally show.
Rachael Patterson from Chipping Sodbury was entertaining the crowds during Rally Day in her Peugeot 106 ‘Percy’.
Patterson has recently teamed up with co-driver Claire Williams, and the pair were using the event to help promote their 2013 Wales GB campaign. This will see the Rachael Patterson motor sport team take on the two-day national event in this November’s rally and the full attack on the 2014 BTRDA championship.
Sebastien Ogier made his maiden appearance at the show.
The VW Polo R driver looks set to become the 2013 World Rally champion with only a few points required at his next event to wrap up the title.
At the press conference Ogier said he was looking forward to driving around the Castle Combe circuit in a classic Audi Quattro.
If he was feeling the pressure of being close to taking the 2013 WRC title then it didn’t show as he chatted to fans and signed autographs most of the day.
