BORIS BENNETT scored a hat-trick of tries as a depleted Wotton side thrashed North Bristol.
The visitors started the game slowly before Rob Marlow’s beautifully weighted pass found Joe Horton in space and he duly finished the move in his usual predatory style.
Steve Black added a conversion and a penalty before Wotton were reduced to 14, with captain Horton sent to the sin bin for foul play.
North Bristol looked to capitalise on their numerical advantage, adding a brace of penalties to reduce the deficit to two points.
Wotton came back strong with Olli Boyle scoring in the corner after combining well with Tom Gibbs.
Bennett then extended the lead with a well taken try to make it 18-6 at the interval.
Returning Russian Gary Alexanderov showed his class with a powerful finish to increase the lead.
Ed Wickenden then added a fantastic solo try, beating a whole host of defenders before diving over the line.
Hortonadded his eighth try of the season with a brilliant run through the heart of the defence.
It then became the Bennett show. First the powerhouse back rower added his second with a superb run from the halfway line.
He then followed it up with a carbon copy try to complete his first senior hat-trick.
Wotton then introduced Dom Da Souza and the powerful front rower immediately impressed with a rampaging run before a beautiful offload to John Holcombe, who finished well to wrap up proceedings.
