Thornbury under-12s win Frampton Cotterell Festival

THE first tournament of the year saw Thornbury under-12s travel to the Frampton Cotterell Festival and secure another piece of silverware.
The first group game saw the Broncos take on Broad Plain and they ran in four impressive tries to win.
Next up was North Bristol and Thornbury won 15-5.
The third game saw Thornbury come up against Frampton Cotterell, which was a 0-0 draw.
The final game of the day saw Thornbury play Kingswood, where they needed to score tries to boost their points difference.
Thornbury struggled to get going and had a mountain to climb in the second-half but two late tries gave them a 20-0 win.
The result was unclear for a period of time before it was announced that Thornbury were outright winners by the closest of margins with just two tries separating them from Frampton Cotterell.
