Gloucestershire County League
Frampton United 0 Longlevens 2
LEAGUE leaders Longlevens got back to winning ways at Frampton United but it might have been a different story if the home side had taken their chances early on.
A cross into the box on 30 minutes found Chris Bully unmarked but he scuffed his shot and the danger was averted.
Just five minutes later United had another good chance to take the lead as a long ball over the top fell straight to Karl Palmer, but his attempt to chip the keeper failed miserably.
Longlevens broke the deadlock on 65 minutes when Scott Goodhall was left unmarked from a free kick to head home.
The visitors made it 2-0 on 72 minutes with a thunderbolt of a shot from 35 yards from Craig Beaton.
Longlevens should have made it three in the 88th minute as Shaun O’Conner broke clear of the United defence but then saw his shot brilliantly saved by Dan Borg in the home goal.
