DALE Dempsey has resigned as Yate Town Reserves manager to take up a new challenge.
Dempsey took over the Gloucestershire County League side two years ago.
A statement on Yate Town’s website said: “The club would like to wish Dale good luck on his new venture and thank him for the hard work that he has put in at Yate Town Football Club.
“His willingness to select the youngsters in the reserves and give them a chance has enabled them to progress. Dale stepped in to take on the reserves when they were short of a manager and has done a fantastic job.
“He will also be remembered for his bike ride with Burnsey (John Burns) to Thatcham FC from Lodge Road to raise money for the club.”
