CHILDREN enjoying activities in the new Yate International Gymnastics Centre can enjoy a new dimension to their sport thanks to a donation by Yate Town Council.
A hand-out to the tune of £500 has funded half the cost of purchasing mini asymmetric bars, which can be used by thrill-seeking youngsters from gym tots age up to competition level.
King Edmund Gym Club manager Mark Thorne said: “The kids love these bars; it’s something different for the centre and it’s a piece of equipment that runs alongside the floor and vault sessions we now do, which are Olympic artistic gymnastic disciplines.
“We would like to extend a big thank-you to Yate Town Council for their continued support.”
