YATE Town’s Southern League Division One South & West game at Paulton Rovers has been postponed.

The pitch at Winterfield Road was left waterlogged after heavy overnight rain and it was called off after an inspection this morning.

Yate Town’s next game is at Shortwood United on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

The wet weather has caused other local games to be postponed, including the Western League Premier Division games between Slimbridge and Brislington and Gillingham Town and Winterbourne.

In the First Division, Almondsbury UWE’s game against Barnstaple Town has also fallen victim of the weather.

Rugby games at North Bristol and Frampton Cotterell have also been called off.
