TOWN and Country Harriers (TACH) staged their Moorland Multi-Terrain 10k recently, based at the Riding for the Disabled premises in Henbury.

Being close to home, it made sense for Thornbury Running Club's Wilf Burke to take part, and he was rewarded with the Vet 60 prize, finishing 24th in a field of over 170 in 48:45.

Only four club members turned out for the Little Stoke parkrun with Kevin Arnold chasing Jack Grudgings, who almost led him to a new personal best.

Grudgings finished 25th in 20:12, with Arnold 27th in 20:40, only four seconds short of his quickest time for the course.

Joel Makinson improved from her last run with a time of 24:54.

John Francksen finished in 27:10 in his 45th parkrun, which brings him close to the coveted red t-shirt presented to all who have completed 50 outings.

Thornbury Running Club meet at 7pm on Thursday evenings at Thornbury Leisure Centre and new members are always welcome.
