IT WAS another successful weekend for Yate with some very high scoring games and all teams picking up points.
The men fared best with three wins from three.
In a thrilling Davis Wood Hockey League Conference North game, Yate beat Bath Buccs 6-4.
Mendip never really looked like taking the points from Yate seconds in the West Central League during their 3-1 win.
Finally the men’s thirds had a festival of goals against West Wilts E, winning 12-0 in East Central Two with hat-tricks for Stu Ford and Rich Edwards, one for Andy Gent and five for Tom Cullimore.
The ladies’ firsts fought hard and kept Plymouth to a 3-3 draw in Premier One of the West Women’s Hockey League.
Goals came from Emma Robertson, Holly Davis and Diana Pugh-Hudson, while the player of match was Kim Harris.
In Berkeley Division One the ladies seconds drew 1-1 in a very feisty battle with Firebrands thirds. The ladies thirds took away a 1-1 draw from an end to end game with Westberries fourths in Berkeley Division Two.
Player of the match was midfielder Sarah Wells, and Kath Greenman scored the goal from a short corner.
