Chipping Sodbury Town 2 Kingswood 2

CHIPPING Sodbury Town had to come back from two goals down with ten men after Danny Coombes was dismissed late in the first half to earn a share of the spoils with Kingswood.

The visitors took the lead on 23 minutes from a Simon Clarke shot from the edge of the box that squirmed under keeper Ed Mullins.

A second goal for Kingswood on 40 minutes when Josh Crossfield scrambled home gave the visitors a comfortable lead.

It was then made worse for the home side when Coombes was given his marching orders.

The home side put extra effort into their game in the second half and were rewarded on 75 minutes when James Mackie pulled a goal back with a shot from just inside the box.

With just two minutes to go Sodbury drew level. A shot from Dan Bendall was handled on the line by outfield player Josh Stokes, who was cautioned, and up stepped Lloyd Harding to score from the penalty spot. Sodbury almost stole the three points in the very last minute when Alex Fox set up Sam Jenkins but he was just wide of the goal with his shot.
