FOLLOWING their tremendous success at Exeter in the regional Boccia finals, the Brimsham Bulldogs won a coveted place at the National under-19s Team Boccia National Championships.
The Brimsham Green School students headed to Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield to do battle with teams from all over the country.
Their first two matches were against the teams that were placed first and third on the day, so standard of play was very high, making for very tense and tactical games.
Brimsham's splendid team of Hollie Clifford, Rhys Barwick, Andy Livall and Lauren Brickwood ended up coming fifth overall after some very high standard games with over 400 teams starting the competition.
The Brimsham Bulldogs won first place in the target games, all winning medals for their skilful accuracy.
It was certainly a trip to remember and a wonderful experience for the students.
