Western League Premier Division
Winterbourne United 2 Willand Rovers 1
WINTERBOURNE United ended a run of six defeats in a row by beating Willand Rovers.
The hosts started well but were unable to take the lead in the first half.
Willand then dominated for the opening spell of the second half and deserved to take the lead through Joe Bushin after a well worked move.
Winterbourne then regained their footing and grabbed the equaliser with Ashley Knight's 30-yard strike catching the visiting keeper out of position.
Not content to sit back, the home side kept pressing and were rewarded with the winning goal when Nicky Lawton's long range effort sailed into the Willand net.
