THORNBURY Town’s winning streak came to an end when they were narrowly beaten at home by Chipping Sodbury Town.
The hosts had bad luck and also missed a catalogue of chances in the first 30 minutes as Pete Fowler, Nathan Sage and Nathan Irwin all hit the woodwork.
The sucker-punch came in the 35th minute from a corner, which Sodbury’s Justin Cattle forced home.
In the second half Thornbury almost drew level when Danny Thompson’s shot hit the bar.
