LUTON Town have completed the loan signing of striker Andy Mangan until the end of the season.

Forest Green terminated the contract of the 27-year-old in early February after a lengthy disciplinary process, but still hold the registration for the player while an appeal process is ongoing with the Football Conference.

He made his name at Rovers, netting 26 goals in 41 league games, while was also a regular scorer for both Wrexham and Fleetwood.

Luton boss John Still said: “Andy’s arrival strengthens the squad as we enter the final seven games of the season.

“He joined Forest Green this summer, where he had done well previously, but for whatever reason it hasn’t worked out.

“It goes without saying how good his goalscoring record is and that is something which I am sure we will benefit from.”

Mangan has been training with the Hatters since February and although the loan window closed last week, the documents were submitted in time with the striker provisionally registered, but a contractual issue needed to be resolved before the move was accepted by the Football Association and the Football Conference.
