FORMER Castle School pupil Adam Wilson made his debut for the England U23 Learning Disability team against Northern Ireland in a friendly international in Belfast recently.
Wilson, 16, had to get through regional and national trials to get his chance in the team.
The Thornbury Town U18 player, who is also a talented middle distance runner with Yate and District AC, started the game in midfield and contributed to a very competitive encounter, which a more experienced Northern Ireland side narrowly won 3-2.
