A FORMER Big Brother winner and several local football legends will be making appearances at the Gordon Dando Memorial Match at Yate Town FC’s Lodge Road ground on Sunday (4.30pm).

Josie Gibson, who won the reality TV show in 2010, will kick off the game between a Yate Town XI and a Cross Keys XI, which is being held to raise money for cancer research.

Current Yate boss Rob Cousins and his assistant Michael Meaker, former Bluebells boss Richard Thompson and BBC Radio Bristol’s Geoff Twentyman will feature, along with the likes of Tony Ricketts, Ricky Chandler, Paul Chenoweth, Paul Harrison, Mike Wyatt, Richard Dunn and Nigel Stearn.

Gordan Dando played for Yate before becoming a regular supporter of the club, but he died shortly after Christmas 2012.

Entertainer Mickey John Bull will be performing in the clubhouse as part of the fundraising event at about 8.15pm.

There is no fixed admission charge for either the football or the cabaret evening, but organisers are hoping supporters will donate generously.
