THE youngest of the Hedger clan picked up a trophy in his first race of the season at the LLandow Karting Circuit in Wales.

Max Hedger, younger brother of former British Super Mini Moto champion Danny and current British Supersport rider Luke, is racing in the British Mini Moto Championship Junior Production class and has had a really solid start to his season.

The ten-year-old got on his new bike supplied to him from minimoto racing for the first time during two practice days and constantly improved his times.

During qualifying, he was third in both sessions.

Hedger had a fourth place in the first race and two third places in the last two races, which put him third overall at the end of the day to secure his first trophy of the year.

This is a very good start to the season for Hedger and puts him in a very good position for his next round in one month's time at the Rednal Karting Circuit in Shropshire.
