Gloucestershire County Youth League (U18s)

Tuffley Rovers 1 Frampton United 4

FRAMPTON drew level with Thornbury Town at the top of the table after beating Tuffley.

They took the lead after 29 minutes. A cross eluded the Tuffley defence before being volleyed in to the roof of the net by Ryan Vincent.

Tuffley equalised when a deep cross was headed clear outside the penalty box, and centre back Rhys Jones struck a tremendous half volley high into the top corner from 30 yards out.

Frampton were awarded a penalty after 40 minutes when Tuffley defender Scott Bayliss was judged to have handled the ball on the goal line.

Once again Ryan Vincent dispatched the penalty to put Frampton 2-1 up.

After half-time Frampton became the dominant force and it only took four minutes to increase their lead.

A mis-timed tackle in midfield allowed Ben Wright to break clear and slide the ball past the advancing keeper into the far corner.

The scoring was completed in the 86th minute when a through ball allowed Wright to complete the scoring with his second and Frampton’s fourth goal.
