KINGSWOOD Primary School is celebrating the success of three of their sports sides, who both made it through to county finals.

The hockey team came second at Cheltenham College with their only defeat coming in the final against Cold Aston School (5-1) after they had won all their previous matches in the competition.

The netball team lost three matches and drew one, but played well and never gave up despite playing the second half of their first match with only four players.

Teacher Helen Gibson said: “Both teams should be extremely proud of themselves representing our district in the county finals.”

Kingswood have also reached the county rugby finals to take place at Hartpury College this month.

They won every match in the district tournament at Dursley Rugby Club, including a one-point win over Blue Coat School.

• The girls football team went through the Len Hutton Football final unbeaten, but were unable to progress into the next round after winning three and drawing three games.
