SENIORS Captain Lindsey Henniker-Heaton led a group of 36 players to St Mellion in Cornwall for the Thornbury Golf Club 2014 Seniors Tour.
Day one was played on the Kernow course and several members achieved close to handicap scores despite strong winds and occasional showers.
Paul Pollard, Graham Smith, Mike Robinson and Peter Everton won the Bowmaker.
On Day two, they took on the championship standard Nicklaus course, which proved extremely challenging in the wind, and a considerable number of balls disappeared into long rough or deep water.
John Jackson and Mike Stone triumphed in the Pairs competition.
Heavy rain overnight resulted in a flooded and closed course on the third day so the tour competition for the Green Jacket (best individual aggregate score) was decided by the first two days with Smith receiving his jacket from 2013 winner Llew Morgans.
